The Long Knives first emerged out of the dedicated work of Niall O'Riordan, a long standing player on Dublin's music scene, who has shared the stage with performers such as Christy Moore, Glen Hansard, Damien Dempsey, Sack, Damien Rice & Paddy Casey.
Since the release of their debut mini album “Kiss you cursed seducer” in 2007 which was mastered by alt-rock legend and celebrated American producer Kramer in Miami, The Long Knives have gone on to release the well received Cheap Wine EP in 2009, showcasing their ever evolving progressive sound which has drawn comparisons to, dEUS, Cocteau Twins, American Music Club, The Gun Club, & Sonic Youth.
Currently recording their first full length album due for release later this year, The Long Knives are; Niall O'Riordan guitars/loops/vocals. Caroline McGrath vocals/melodica. Martin Casey bass. Mark Smyth drums.
