The Nash Brothers

Rock // Cork

The Nash Brothers are a four-piece Irish rock band. Born in Waterford and now living in Cork, brothers Daniel and Patrick Nash have been writing and performing together for over a decade. Joining forces with drummer Darren Jennings and bassist Fintan McKahey, who hail from the wilds of West Cork, has seen the band develop a unique signature sound. The bands unique songwriting style has been said to echo that of guitar gods Jimmy Page and Robert Johnson and its storytelling lyrical prose reminiscent of Tom Waits and Jim Morrison’s.

The last 12 months has been non-stop for the blues-rock band. The Nash Brothers recorded their debut EP in the summer of 2015 following a string of successful concerts, television and radio appearances, including a televised showcase at The Miss Universe Brazil 2015. The EP was recorded by the world-renowned and Grammy nominee, Gabriel Pinheiro at Biscoito Fino Studios in Rio de Janeiro and was mastered by Grammy winning engineer Luiz Tornaghi.

The EP has been well received by the public and media following its launch at The Button Factory in Dublin and at Largo do Boticario in Rio De Janeiro.

Having just returned from a serious of acoustic shows in Brazil and a successful homecoming show in Cork Cities Camden Palace, The band are heading to Scandinavia for the winter months to promote the band and further grow there fan-base and plan to return to Ireland for a tour of the country early Spring.

‘The Nash Brothers EP by The Nash Brothers is a fantastic collection of heavy dark classic rock bluesy stomps. Combining growling vocals, facile guitar playing and huge bass and drums, the EP really shows off a tight knit band.’
- Mike Przygoda, The Even Ground, 2015

The next 12 months will see The Nash Brothers performing throughout Europe and South America, recording the much-anticipated full-length album and continuing on their upward trajectory.
