The Ralphs

Alternative // Tuam, Galway

The Ralphs from Tuam, Co. Galway play gutsy rock n'roll - bullshit need not apply.

Debuting in November 2008, The Ralphs are partly a family affair, with brothers Jamie (Vocals/Guitar) & Leigh Ralph (Drums), their cousin Conor Ralph (Guitars), and friend Brian Ruane (Bass) forming the axis of the band. Their debut single in August 2009 'Waste of Time/Gunfire' earned them support slots with the likes of Delorentos, Jape, Fred, Ham Sandwich, and The Flaws, a session on 2fm, and also some nice words from the national press.

The Ralphs are looking onwards and upwards, after releasing their debut E.P, '21st Century Window' in September 2010 at a sold out gig at their 'home' venue Roisín Dubh.

Expect energy at their live shows, and if you're real lucky, chaos might even ensue.

"All in all, the mix of the single is also very good - so good in fact, that I can't think of anything to say other than it sounds great. It is purely guitar, vocal, bass and drums and all the better for it - bullshit need not apply" - Easy Music For Difficult Ears

"By just listening to their tracks you can almost sense the madness that will ensue at future gigs" - IndieLimerick

"A band happy to take risks within a narrow bandwidth and make music for the sheer pleasure of it. It should happen more often." - Hot Press.
