The Shower Scene started originally as a solo acoustic act but was destined to become a full band. In the summer of 2007 Goc joined The Shower Scene to lend a hand as lead guitarist for Eoghan’s live shows and to play on Eoghan’s acoustic E.P. entitled “last Call For Lovers”. Soon afterwards Eoghan decided to make it a full band a recruited Ally who was a long term school friend and also the drummer of Eoghan’s other band at the time and Mikey who Eoghan new from the local gigging scene in Dublin. Mikey and Goc also knew each other from other friend’s bands and Mikey and Ally had known each other through friends.
In November 2007 the lads had there first full band practice, they put a lot of work into what they do and after only a few months they won a battle of the bands from the Sunday world and won a trip to LA. After being a band for only 7 months the band had then been announced as support to Fall Out Boy in Dublin’s RDS opening the show to a sold out 7000 strong crowed.
In January 2008 The Shower Scene played there very first headline show for the release of there debut self titled E.P. Selling out 350 tickets for the show. Since then The Shower Scene have been making waves across the country selling out shows and supporting bands such as Fall Out Boy, Go:Audio and Elliot Minor to name but a few. They have also toured the UK with Elliot Minor and in September 2010 they embark on there very first headline UK tour.
