Those Creeps are a three-piece band from West Wicklow. The members are: Jamie Leigh – guitar, lead vocals; Nimai Blake – drums, percussion; Bala Blake – bass, backing vocals.
Those Creeps’ music is best described as an integration of the members’ individual musical interests, experiences and personalities. There is an emphasis on rhythmic melodies and down-to-earth lyrics that reflect every day experiences; this produces music that aims to resonate with the audience.
Those Creeps’ lyrics evolve in an off-the-cuff writing style, and each member brings their individual musical input to the song. Musical Influences range from Rhythm and Blues to Alternative Rock and the resultant music is sharp and often witty. Those Creeps’ sound is well-rehearsed and tight, but retains a spontaneous and edgy quality.
Those Creeps formed just under a year ago, and in that time they have composed material for their debut album ‘Doghouse’, and are currently working on the soundtrack of an independent feature film which was filmed this summer.
Those Creeps’ desire is to share their unique sound as widely as possible and to find a place for themselves in the new music scene. In the short term they would like to perform live as much as possible. They are also keen to record their sound and distribute it widely, and they hope to release their first album before the end of the year.
