UMUT

Umut Bayrak, known as UMUT (pronounced as oo-MOOT), is a rising Electronic Pop artist based in Dublin. His musical journey began with 90s and early 2000s R&B influences, and a neighbor's violin lessons sparked his initial interest in music. Formal training at BIMM University in Ireland refined his vocal skills, while he self-taught songwriting and music production. UMUT's debut single, "Who Shot First," was released in July 2022, and his second single "Free Fall," released on August 30, is a collaboration with Billboard #1 producer Liam Geddes, addressing societal and familial pressures and self-liberation.

UMUT's sound blends pop with House and EDM elements, characterized by his signature use of strings. Inspired by artists like Allie X, Dua Lipa, and Robyn, his music emphasizes self-empowerment and love. He plans to release eight new singles over the next year, highlighting his evolving artistry.
