Unwinding Cables

'' Cork has given us many things over the
years and now it looks set to provide the
first Irish Afro-Punk band. Formed by
frontman Zelen and drummer Ovi (with
the former’s twin brother Zen completing
the line-up a little later), Unwinding Cables stand apart in a city whose music scene has itself been highly individual.
Why it took so long for a band as exciting
as this to emerge from the new look Irish
population is one question, but let’s just
be thankful that they’re finally here.''
