Valerie Rose, a Dublin-based alt-pop artist has returned with her new single 'Rip My Calendar'. The seventeen-year-old has had a busy start to the year. In addition to releasing new music, Valerie Rose, performed at The Workman's Club earlier this month as part of Women's Christmas and was named in the Hot Press 'Hot For 2023' shortlist. Over the last year, the multi-instrumentalist has collaborated closely with Diffusion Lab, a record label and management company based in Dublin's The Playground. Valerie's sound was further developed with the help of the team, and she is now ready for everyone to hear. Valerie Rose started writing music shortly before the pandemic. The world appeared to be quiet when you looked out your window during lockdown, but Valerie Rose felt it was anything but. Her focus and energy were focused on perfecting her craft; she taught herself to play the guitar, wrote lyrics, and let her creative juices flow. Valerie Rose released her Diffusion Lab debut single "My Head" in late 2022, launching her onto the Irish music scene. The song received radio support from Today FM, 2FM, SPIN1038, FM104, SPIN South West, and Radio Kerry. The song peaked at number 18 on Ireland's Homegrown Chart. Despite being a new artist with only two singles out, she has an impressive 18,000 monthly Spotify listeners. Valerie's life has always revolved around music. Valerie's vocal coach was always encouraging her to improve her musical and vocal abilities as she grew older. Valerie Rose has an undeniably bright future ahead of her, with much more to come from this alt-pop artist whose songwriting explores life experiences through catchy, endorphin-inducing lyrics paired with punchy hooks.
