Velvin Lamont is a singer-songwriter who was born and raised in Compton and Los Angeles, California. He followed his heart to Ireland some years ago and fell in love with it. Since then Velvin has made quite a name for himself. One by being called Ireland's very own Soul Singer when he made his appearance on the RTE Show ‘’The Voice of Ireland’’ bringing himself all the way through to become one of the live show contestants and became one of the 2013 finalists. Since then he has become more then just a household name and can be recognized from some of his many achievements since he arrived in Ireland such as performing at the U.S Ambassador Estate in Phoenix Park in Dublin on multiple occasions and singing along side of some of Ireland's best set as Kodaline, Hermitage Green, and Walking On Cars and so many more ,his debut appearance on the RTE and BBC hit show ‘’Can't Cope Won't Cope’’ which is now available to veiw on Netflix, his multiple appearances on the Cork Opera House mainstage, his collaboration and touring with Irish professionals and some up-and-coming stars such as Brian Deady and Stephanie Rainey just to name a few. Velvin Lamont is an evolving star who is not afraid of change, in fact the singer embraces embraces it and takes the challenge head on. Currently he is working on fine tuning his own music with a new fresh sounds that he calls "Fusion Soul Music". Velvin latest project is called Cork Live Tv Music and Entertainment Show where he is the host and creator of the show giving other artists a chance at the spot light. When asked how did the creation of this come about, he replied ‘’I was given an opportunity to create my own show, I had a vision that I would create something that was beneficial to all and that would give other up and coming stars and already established artists a platform to have an outlet to perform and showcase themselves. Velvin Lamont is proud to be called one of the Soul men of Cork and Ireland's adopted son.
