Wallfella

Hip Hop // Cabra, Dublin

Few artists capture the complexities of working-class life and modern struggles as powerfully as Wallfella, a Northside Dublin rapper unafraid to speak the hard truths. Drawing from his upbringing in O’Devaney Gardens, Wallfella has become a defining figure in Irish Hip-Hop and R&B, blending raw storytelling with evolving musical innovation. Known for his "candid and non-apologetic approach to lyricism" (Wordplay Magazine), his music tackles themes of mental health, toxic relationships, and systemic injustice with unflinching honesty.

Wallfella’s breakout 2020 album The North’s Face established him as a compelling storyteller, with tracks like “Devaney Flow” becoming anthems of Northside Dublin. His forthcoming EP, The Coop is Full (early-mid 2025), builds on this foundation, showcasing a fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B, and funk. Singles such as "No Chords" and "Smooth Wirreh" have already drawn critical praise, with The Word is Bond commending his "distinct flow and layered songwriting skill" and ExtravaFrench describing "Smooth Wirreh" as “an intense and disarming dance between introspection and musical energy.”

Collaboration has been central to Wallfella’s career, with standout tracks like "MULA" (with Flynn Johnson and Hikii) and “Tree Sap (Remix’d)” (with Curtisy). His work with producer Odd Numbers, including the thought-provoking tracks “Step Back” and “Love Me, Hate Me,” has further cemented his reputation as an artist unafraid to tackle personal and societal struggles. In addition to his studio work, Wallfella is a fixture in Ireland’s live music scene, performing at festivals such as All Together Now and Body and Soul alongside regular collaborator Nealo.

Aligned with Golden Éire Records, Wallfella is part of a new wave of Irish artists reshaping the global perception of Hip-Hop and R&B. As anticipation builds for The Coop is Full, Wallfella’s music continues to amplify his community’s voice while resonating with audiences far beyond Dublin’s borders.
