Weather Underground are an alternative four-piece band from Dublin,Ireland, consisting of childhood friends,
Daniel Brady (Guitar/Vocals),
Karl Brooks (Guitar),
Ciaran White (Bass/Vocals)
and Daniel Kearns (Drums).
The band seeks to blend 60s influences such as The Who and The Kinks, with early 2000s alternative music such as The Libertines and Miles Kane. Weather Underground's DIY aesthetic stems from a plethora of influences outside these eras, from jazz to folk to electronic music while incorporating multimedia endeavors, such as their annual Christmas music video and the enigmatic 'Bileman's Journey' .
Formed in Raheny, North Dublin while friends at school, the band has relentlessly gigged around Ireland (including venues such as Dublins 3arena, Academy and Galway's Roisin Dubh) and has garnered a loyal following from their energetic and exciting live shows. In the summer of 2022, the band released their self produced EP, “Making A Day Of It” featuring singles “Selfish Song” and “If I Get To Sleep”. The Dubliners have began to fully craft their unique sound as they navigate the contemporary alternative music scene.
2023 sees the band embark on an Irish tour which will follow an EP release with an accompanying self-made documentary.
