WENDY, an Afro-Irish artist born and raised in Drogheda, Co. Louth, debuts with her new single ‘How Far’. Wendy is a young, emerging Pop/R&B artist, whose influences include Michael Jackson and Beyoncé. She began singing from a very young age, starting in the church choir, and had her first studio experience at the age of 8. As she got older, she became aware of her gift and sought to discover herself as an artist and find her own sound.
Her debut single, ‘How Far’ is a groovy, upbeat Pop jam that will resonate with anyone that questions if they can get 100% in a relationship. Wendy says:
“When writing this song, I had both outward and inner inspirations. I thought about relationships where the guy wasn’t connecting with his girl because she had her walls up. I then started to think about how I was that type of girl and the kind of guy I would be willing to break those walls down for. This was my first time writing a Pop song. I’m used to writing R&B and Afro-Beats. But this was a great challenge for me to step out of my comfort zone and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”
