Whistle is a lively and fun band who play Americana-style music reflecting their strong bluegrass and country music influences and they love to mix their original songs with lots of classic old-timey tunes. They specialise in multi-part vocal harmonies and play guitar, banjo, violin, bass, mandolin, percussion and anything else they can get their hands on!
Whistle have been playing together almost 20 years, with extensive experience playing in venues and major festivals all over Ireland. There are six members in the band, all of whom sing as well as play and they live in Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare and Cavan.

Influences range from the Avett Brothers through Flatt & Scruggs to Johnny Cash, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lumineers, Stanley Brothers, Crosby Stills & Nash, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Ricky Skaggs and many more.
