Yes Chef!

Yes Chef! are a 4 piece collective formed in Dublin in late 2023. The band consists of frontman, vocalist and guitarist Dyl Kennedy, drummer and producer Ryan Whelan, lead guitarist Roo (sexy chef) Hannon and bassist Mel. Together they have produced a wide collection of material, each drastically differing from the last. Confinement is a chef’s worst fear and stationary boredom is not something the chefs are considered to be affiliated with. Challenges however, have always been and will always be more than welcome.

Yes Chef! formed when the band’s frontman Dyl and drummer/producer Ryan met at a label showcase in the workman’s cellar in early October 2023. Being separated by two hours of public transport made getting together difficult but over the course of a few months they went on to write and record a plethora of new songs or “tunes” in Ryan’s backgarden studio in Tallaght whilst preparing for their first gig in the very location they met. In late December 2023 the band was supplemented by lead guitarist Roo and was later fortified when bassist Mel joined the band in April 2024. Since then, Yes Chef! Have taken on Ireland by storm, playing festivals such as ‘One’s to Watch’, ‘The Next Big Thing’, and have received high praises from the likes of Hot Press, Nialler 9 and various music reviewers across the country.
