Meet YINYANG, a genre-defying, boundary-breaking voice in underground music, known for blending punk-edged hip hop with dark electronics and raw, intricate lyricism.

Praised by CLOUT as “one of the most distinctive and exciting artists in recent memory” and hailed by CLASH as “a force to be reckoned with,” YINYANG’s sonic world is one of fierce autonomy and blistering cool. Her live show is a full-spectrum assault: a self-programmed light show meets murderous 808s, industrial textures, and chaotic control.

2024 marked major moments for YINYANG. A year of heavy hitter support slots e.g. Gurriers, The Scratch, Meryl Streek, YARD, Fat Dog and a UK/IE tour with Shelf Lives, she now gears up for the release of her upcoming, debut EP ‘The Lotus Throne’ followed by her debut album which she has spent the last few years compiling. She also features on Ecdysis, a collaboration with YARD, which appears in the upcoming Nicolas Cage film The Surfer out in cinemas May 2025.

Self-taught during lockdown, YINYANG pulls inspiration from the likes of Little Simz, M.I.A., Sampa the Great, Billie Eilish, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, and Doechii — artists who defy convention and push emotional, visual and sonic boundaries.
With collaborators including Tom Cane, Iain Berryman, Freddy Sheed, YARD, Violentlyill and Hinako Omori, YINYANG has earned early support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, and BBC Introducing.

2025 is about growing the world she has been building — with a full catalogue of art that dives deeper into her universe.
