Aonair is the solo project of songwriter/producer Brendan McGlynn. After writing and touring extensively across Europe and the US with bands such as Raglans, THUMPER and Colour//sound, he began this solo venture. Aonair’s sound combines lush electronic production with dreamy reverbs, huge drum sounds and soaring vocal melodies to create a dreamy but powerful sound. Influences include The War On Drugs, Conan Mockasin, Julie Cruise and Sam Evian.
Aonair began life as a dreamy, keyboard-heavy bedroom recording project in 2016 with the Girls Girls Girls EP, and 2018s Surfs Up EP. His 2019 release 'Hope You feel It' was clearly the most mature to date, 2021 will bring an exciting new release, with lush and layered harmonies, throwback synths, epic production and intricate songwriting, it’s a bold statement of intent for Aonair’s next steps
