Emerging from Dublin's vibrant music scene in 2023, Fulvetta has quickly carved out a niche as a "heavy-shoegaze" force, embodying the reinvigorated sound of modern shoegaze. Drawing inspiration from 90s alternative icons like HUM and early Smashing Pumpkins, as well as homegrown pioneers like My Bloody Valentine, the band weaves brooding guitar riffs with layered vocals, creating an intense yet melodically rich sonic landscape.
Fulvetta released their debut EP, "Songbird" under the Irish indie label Blowtorch Records in 2022. Their momentum continued into 2023 with the release of singles "Lampshade" and "Disregard", further solidifying their reputation and drawing comparisons to major genre acts such as Narrow Head, Nothing, and Trauma Ray.
Over the past year, Fulvetta has capitalised on their growing popularity, expanding beyond local Dublin venues to play higher-profile gigs and festivals. Highlights include supporting math-rock outfit Chinese Football on their European tour, opening for US post-hardcore act Drug Church and Irish punk artist Meryll Streek at a sold-out Grand Social, and making their festival debut at Gazefest in Belfast.
